David Sharp is founder and President of Lafayette Wealth Management Group. He was born in raised in Lafayette, graduating from Harrison High School. He went to Purdue University graduating in Financial Planning and Counseling. He began his career in the financial services industry working his way up through several different positions with a local bank before finally finding his spot in the brokerage department. After almost 16 yrs at the bank he decided to take his passion for helping people to another level by starting Lafayette Wealth Management Group so he could continue to focus on his client’s needs and work to deepen his client relationships.
David is married to his wife Courtney and they have 4 kids, Kenzie (age 19), Lauren (age 14), Evan (age 12) and Mallory (age 10). They reside in Lafayette and their 4 school age kids are going to the same elementary, middle school and high school that David went to. Most nights and weekends are spent at various sporting events that their kids are involved in. David is active in the East Tipp Summer Rec as a board member and coach on his kid’s teams.
Education : BS Degree in Financial Planning at Purdue University; Series 7, 66 registrations held through Calton & Associates.
Experience : 16 years in banking; 8 years in investment management
Interests : Spending Time with Family, Sports and Community Volunteerism/Involvement.

Biggest accomplishment : Graduating college while working full time and raising a family. Starting Lafayette Wealth Management Group.
Biggest Blessings : My family…..Our kids keep us busy but I wouldn’t change it for anything.
